2. Once a month, write down the reach and the number of saves and shares for each post.
3. Compare formats (photos, carousels, Reels, i.e. short vertical videos) and topics.
4. The following month, add more of what people saved and shared, and reduce what did not interest anyone.

Does it make sense to artificially increase the numbers on a profile?

Meta's rules do not allow buying, selling or exchanging interactions, so restrictions on reach or on the account cannot be ruled out. Meta's Community Guidelines on spam explicitly prohibit the selling, buying or exchanging of interactions, such as likes, shares, views or follows (status as of November 2026).

Instagram had already said in 2018 announced the removal of inauthentic likes, follows and comments for accounts that used third-party apps. Instagram's Terms of Use they also prohibit requesting or collecting other users' login credentials. Therefore, never give anyone your password or two-factor authentication codes.

Bought interactions do not replace content, do not guarantee audience interest, reach or sales, and will not help you meet account verification requirements. They can also worsen the ratio of interactions to followers, which a brand looking for a collaboration, for example, may use to assess a profile. The followers of large public figures come from a long-standing public career, not from numbers on a profile.

When paid promotion makes sense and when it does not?

A package may help as an initial social proof, i.e. a signal to new visitors that someone already follows the profile, for a new account that has good content and on which you continue to work regularly. It may also support a specific campaign alongside your own content.
